Faery Silks is part of the Thort Group, a company registered in Queensland, Australia. Faery Silks specialises in unique fashion - you will find in our store a variety of garments, from skirts to tops. We deal mainly in women's fashion, however we hope to expand to include a range of beautiful children's clothing and bridal wear.

We have gathered together a collection of original, exceptional clothing, only keeping the very BEST garments. We focus on clothing that is not only attractive but comfortable and easy to fit to lots of figures, including many free-size items.
Our clothing draws inspiration from gypsy looks, fantasy, bohemian, peasant, hippie, boho-chic, Indian and more.

We are soon going to be launching our very own label of uniquely different garments, focusing on natural fabrics, hand-dyed silks, and artistic designs!


Founded by two sisters, Faery Silks was created with the plan to bring forth a range of interesting and different clothes. As the mainstream fashion industry always rigidly follows whatever is 'popular' and 'trendy' during the season, it is usually difficult to find unique clothes. We targeted a niche market of fashion which is not widely available online. Dealing mainly in free-size garments allows customers to feel confident that the clothes will fit without seeing or trying them on in person.

We pride ourselves on offering a thoroughly detailed description and photographs on all our items, to ensure that you are satisfied with your garments. Although we strive to offer free-size clothing, some clothing may not fit all figures. Please make sure to check the measurements given on each item page. 
We also recommend following the washing instructions included on product pages and with every purchase to assure your garment remains in excellent quality. Most of our items are made from natural or delicate fabric, and in many cases we hand embellish or dye the cloth. All clothing should be treated gently.

Teaming up several garments gives you a unique layered look, which may consist of a delicate overskirt, worn atop a ruffled skirt. This is then topped with a long-tailed blouse and the whole outfit is then wrapped together with a spider-web shawl.

~*~ *Gypsy and Fantasy* ~*~

Handkerchief hemlines, floaty fabrics, rainbow colour blends - all designed to offer a free and easy gypsy look. This is the backbone of our collection, focusing on very simple styles that have impact because of the fabric and colour combinations. Flexible sizing is achieved through loose fits with ribbon ties.
Pagan, Bohemian, Mediaeval, Fantasy and Elvish influences are highlighted within our Collection.

~*~ *Beautiful Texture and Colour* ~*~

We seek to find clothes with interesting and attractive, free flowing fabrics. Uncluttered designs, but intricate in both fabric and colour usage. Our garments may have both natural and man-made material. Sheer fabrics along with tulle and cheesecloth will be commonly used, layered over a closely woven fabric to give lovely, interesting texture combinations.
Bohemian and hippie looks are made fashionable with attractive, colour choices. We offer anything from soft and whimsy pastel skirts to elegant dresses dyed in richly deep colours.

~*~ *Simple, Flowing Lines* ~*~

Our collection is designed to be worn comfortably and yet with great style. We avoid close fitting garments, so there are no waist hugging designs and very little in the way of zippers or buttons. Simplicity is the keynote - our aim being to offer wonderfully individual styling at a price that is affordable. The cut of our garments will be focused on fluid fabrics that easily drape the body, without the need for exact fit-to-size measurements. Shawls, wrap-skirts, draping sleeves... all beautiful but comfortable.
In addition, we will have year-round designs so as to avoid the seasonal dilemma most fashion labels experience in needing to alter stock at the end of every single season.

Faery Silks strives to sell original, unique creations that are not often seen in normal retail fashion outlets. Fantasy, Gypsy, Mediaeval, Indian, Native American, Bohemian, Peasant, Hippie, Boho-chic inspired and more can be found in our store.
To add interest, garments may include removable sashes or ties decorated with beads, feathers, and other eye-catching trinkets.
